👩💼 Carolyn Glavine
General Manager – Calgary & Edmonton
A powerhouse in the field of Environmental Health & Safety, Carolyn Glavine is a Master Trainer and certified OH&S professional with over three decades of frontline experience. From plant construction and maintenance turnarounds to multi-trade workforce leadership, Carolyn’s career spans the health, mining, and oil sands sectors.
Her dynamic career began in nursing, providing a unique human-centered lens to her safety leadership. Formerly the Manager of CICT in Fort McMurray, Carolyn has spearheaded critical EH&S initiatives including Modified Work Programs, Ergonomic Stretching Programs, Supervisor Safety Training, and Behaviour-Based Safety systems. With a rare blend of technical expertise and empathetic leadership, she is a driving force behind ACTI’s operational excellence.

Business Development Manager & Chief Innovation Officer
With 38 years of industrial and managerial experience, Wade Glavine is a seasoned construction executive and innovation strategist. He has led complex projects for some of Canada’s largest companies—Jacobs, Fluor, Syncrude, Exxon, Suncor, BA Energy, and TransCanada Pipelines—building a legacy rooted in mentorship, safety, and visionary execution.
A master tradesman turned executive, Wade has been nominated twice for the President’s Operational Excellence Award in Safety. He served as Senior Construction Manager for the Energy East Pipeline, presenting to stakeholders across Canada and authoring the construction component of the NEB application. As a trailblazer in innovation, he now leads ACTI’s strategic development, emerging technologies, and partnerships with purpose.
