Advanced Work Packaging ( AWP)

The Alberta Construction Training Institute’s (ACTI) Advanced Work Packaging Training Course has been developed using is COAA & CII Best Practices

The ACTI Course is a 5 day/40-hour course

Advanced Work Packaging is the overall process flow of all the detailed work packages (construction, engineering, and installation work packages). AWP is a planned, executable process that encompasses the work on an EPC project, beginning with initial planning and continuing through detailed design and construction execution. AWP provides the framework for productive and progressive construction and presumes the existence of a construction execution plan. (Canadian Owners Association of Alberta – COAA & Construction Industry Institute – CII)

Introduction to Project Management

This course covers all aspects of project management, from how a project is selected for development to its engineering, procurement, construction and finally handover of the built facility to the client. Students will learn how project management is actually done in practice. Participants will learn how to implement a rigorous project management methodology in any type of industry they are coming from. Hands-on training will be provided on the five phases of project execution – define, plan, organize, control & monitor and close-out.

This ACTI Course is a 5 day/40-hour course.
